Sink into the Night | Poem/Song

Sleepless, wrapped in ebony night

Clutching the medal of a laptop

Bright screen, can’t turn it off.

If you are the thing I’ve wanted

And to me you have come

What’s the difference between how I started

And what I’ve become?

With you I am peaceful.

With you I am strong.

With you I am, I am.

So where are you now?

I feign sleep, wondering how

I could have ever slept without

knowing you are alright.

This night

It is a killer, drowned in silence.

A once blissful thing, now it’s an awful ringing.

So where are you now?

Show me how

I need to know

Where you go

With you, with you.
