An Accursed Red poem.
~
They say he went to heaven
and I’ve been waiting for him
to come down.
But I’ve been waiting for too long.
They said he’s in the clouds
and I keep wanting to fly
but I know
I won’t get high enough.
They want me to believe that he’s safe in the arms of God.
But I can’t see him, and I can’t pray.
It’s a lie to keep me down.
To keep me down.
–
I’m going to jump off a cliff
just to see if I still live
in a world of white and gray.
I’m going to drown myself
just to see if I turn into someone else
like an angel with wings
where the whole word starts to sing.
~
They say she went to hell
and God I hope she did.
She was a menace, but no one’s perfect.
They want me to believe
that it’s all so black and white
They want me to be bound to the earth,
but I can’t stay unchained.
–
I’m going to jump off a cliff
just to see if I still live
in a world of white and gray.
I’m going to drown myself
just to see if I turn into someone else
like an angel with wings
where the whole world starts to sing.
Where the whole word starts to sing.
