Don’t Want a Lonely Life | Poem

I had a dream last night

Drew up my fears and closed my blinds

I had a dream composed of you

Completely, entirely, nothing new

But there was a feeling in my chest

That you didn’t exist, so we never met

And then I realized I had taken this life

for granted.

You are my hero you are my savior

You are one thing I can’t do without

So please here my cry

Don’t leave my side

Don’t want a lonely life

I have a feeling

Drawing with a knife

Blood rushing down over my kind

There was a fear, punishing you

Slowly but surely you were through

Deep in my mind there was a bet

A price that had always been around your neck

And I realized I had taken your life

for granted.

Don’t want a lonely life.
