perception

one liner wednesday

I check the clock just as much as I check my body,

because I conceive myself as much as I try to

  1. Makes a lot of sense, in consideration of how beauty is perceived to fade with the passage of time. It rises, to then decay. Like with the seasons, cultivating the soil during the Autumn with a belief that beauty has died.

However, it does rise, once more, to remind a world what is not truly fallen. It has always stood, strong and hale.

I wish our general society was more flexible to definitions of beauty as we are with time! Aging is not ugly, and you have perfectly put it.
