When assignments and exams pile up, all I want to do is rewatch Disney movies and Gilmore Girls. A difficult semester makes me much less in the mood to venture outside my comfort zone, and I prefer to go for pieces of media that calm me down and bring me peace. Taking that into account, I had a significant dry spell for most of my fall semester when it came to reading or watching new things, but I finally turned that around two weeks ago when something amazing happened:

All of the Twilight movies were suddenly on YouTube for free!

I thought it was the perfect way to set the Halloween mood and revamp (haha) my movie-watching extravaganza. So here’s everything I watched or read the past three months:

August

• Breaking Boundaries – The Science of Our Planet
• Sabrina (1954) ❤ ❤ (I can’t wait to watch more Audrey Hepburn movies. She is so magnetic.)
• The Secret ❤ (A great resource that all of the girls on YouTube are getting their information)
• A Court of Thorns and Roses (Oh my, I did not like this at all…)
• Girl, Serpent, Thorn ❤ (An amazing fantasy romance novel inspired by several fairytales)
• Ugly Betty ❤ (This show is just perfect, America Ferrera is so charming as Betty. It has the best ending too.)
• Ferngully: The Last Rainforest (Oh my gosh, Robin Williams, why were you a part of this…)

September

• Ballet Shoes
• Arcane ❤ (One of the best animated shows ever created… other than that blasted Imagine Dragons. I’ll let it slide, because everything else is perfect.)
• Marley and Me (I’ve been meaning to watch this for forever, so cute and sweet!)
• The Craft
• Serendipity (I loveee John Cusack, but this should have been a short film, not a whole movie!)
• All Tinker Bell Movies ❤ (I love the fairies so much!! Tink and Silver are my personal favorites.)
• Monsters at Work (This is a really hilarious show set in the aftermath of Monsters Inc.)
• The Little Mermaid (2023)

October

• The Twilight Saga (I was so excited to watch all five of these movies for the first time– finally! I get it now, I get it!)
• Silver Linings Playbook
• No Hard Feelings
• Beastly (I love fairytale remakes, but this one wasn’t quite as good as I hoped it would be.)
• The Hot Chick
• Navigating the Heart
• Return to Me
• My Girl
