Plight of Obsession | Poem

the phoniest of flattery

the most lascivious of lies

the cacophony of coquettish ramblings:

all are the plights of an unreciprocated obsession,

not born out of love, but of rabidly ill intent.

  5. Obsession is that road to madness, isn’t it? Sometimes, I think, that not towards pure obsession, though simply upon its road, we are going towards that madness, being love. If it is our goal to be obsessive, and get nowhere by it, then yes, it is all ill-intent. Though, to be obsessive on the path, itself, is to be led to the madness we should know is love.
